Empire Total War is a classic war game that challenges both your knowledge of history and tactical prowess. This is the special Gold Edition of Empire Total War which also features extra campaigns compared to the original.
The aim in Empire Total War Gold is to command the seas, conquer the land, and build an Empire in a combination game of real-time battle tactics and turn-based political strategy. The turn-based gameplay is combined with impressive 3D real-time battles on land and at sea. You must use all of your trade and military powers to become the dominant power of the 18th Century.

Empire: Total War Gold Edition includes all of the base game's updates, improvements, and downloadable content, including The Warpath Campaign and four unit packs: the Special Forces and the Elite Units of East, West and America. You can choose to lead one of 12 nations from Europe, America, or Asia. Particularly interesting for US users is the ability to play as George Washington in the revolutionary campaign "Road to Independence" and lead the Continental army against the might of the British Empire.
You can also recreate landmark battles such as Bunker Hill, Fontenoy, and Rossbach. Keeping on top in these battles can be tough and, like any real battle, forward planning is crucial to success or failure.
To really enjoy Empire Total War, it's recommended that you play multiplayer either over LAN or online. Empire Total War Gold supports Game Center too but you'll need OS X 10.8.3 or above.
