SoundTracking adds to the trend of mobile apps that let you share stuff with a community of followers. This time, you're sharing the music you’re listening to.
Just like Instagram for photos or Foursquare for locations, with SoundTracking you can share the song you’re currently playing on your device – the app automatically imports it from the iPod app. SoundTracking also lets you enter any song manually, or catch it from the radio or any other source a là Shazam.
Once the song is loaded, SoundTracking lets you add a picture, a location and a personal comment and share it on Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare. Your song will also appear on your followers’ activity feed in SoundTracking, where they can like it, love it or leave a comment.
Soundtracking looks really nice, with a very polished interface. On the downside, it somehow didn’t feel as addictive as other social networks – and also that we had several timeout errors while testing.
SoundTracking enables you to share your favorite songs online and see what you friends are listening to.
